General Information |

An unique community, Gables Run is a stunning, upscale equestrian subdivision featuring luxury homes with private barns in a wooded setting. The community barn is in the front of the neighborhood and is complete with riding arena, bullpen, and turn out paddocks. The barn also offers boarding and training, a tack shop, and handles sales. Located on Thurman Road, Gables Run is very close to Highway 70. The Craven County Regional Aiport is also easily accessible, and this neighborhood is sandwiched between two championship
golf communities, which are Taberna and Carolina Colours. Other neighborhoods surrounding Gables Run include Longleaf Pines, Brice's Crossing, Brentwood Estates, and Evan's Mill. The US Marine base of Cherry Point is 12 miles away, being quite convenient for military families. Gorgeous views of the Trent River can be found downtown which is just a few miles away and offer many, one of a kind shoppes and restaurants to discover.
The entrance to Gables Run is magnificent, with a lushly landscaped median decorated with flowering plants and small trees. The sign is very clever, as it is actually fashioned after a horse jump made up of a large, arched stone pillar. Quite an extensive neighborhood, Gables Run is comprised of multiple streets with several cul-de-sacs. Many of these very secluded, elegant homes are partially or fully hidden from the street.
The homes in Gables Run are all custom built, and styles range from neo-eclectic to traditional with many unique details. Lots are very spacious, and feature not only large, fenced in backyards, but many have private barns complete with 2-4 stalls and personal paddocks. All homes feature lavish landscaping that complements the homes well. In the middle of Gables Run there is a community park that features a children's playground and picnic/shelter area. A friendly neighborhood, it is not uncommon to see kids riding their ponies up and down the streets!
